I love peanut butter and jelly but unfortunately it is ruining our society. We put this catastrophe in the lunches of our children with fruit snacks and then they talk too much at school and cant focus so they are condemned and eternally tortured. I just ate a peanut butter and jelly sandwich as a masochistic endeavor justified by hunger and the lack of a desire to consume steak, probably brought about by gut dysbiosis and yeast overgrowth (candida).

I vow to do this rarely as here’s a breakdown of why this is a sub optimal and truly EVIL food to be handing off to your 4 year old so you can give them autoimmune disease and behavioral issues. Why do parents do this! My future kids won’t even know of this sandwich. They will probably be introduced by GOOD GOYS when they are perhaps of age 7.  And they will be horrified.

My kids will look at turkey sandwich and go why do you put such yummy healthy things in between two evil bread slices? They will be puzzled as to why people do this as they wont grow up in poverty, and be dependent on sub optimal grains for survival. Mom… why are you nerfing perfectly good food with lectins? They will ask me.

I predict this.  And the other kids will be horrified because my kids are gonna be a foot taller, and extremely physically dominant and will have been doing BJJ since they were 4. So I will let my kids excerpt their physical dominance on the other kids in socially appropriate ways as to avoid this sandwich that is killing our children. I vow to never, ever ever ever hand my child a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. A good substitute for this is raw liver or freeze dried liver for a treat.

Problem 1;

The peanut butter. Hydrogenated oils. Likely aflotoxins (asperrigus mold which peanuts are susceptible to), even organtic peanut butter oil going rancid with improper storage, a monoculture crop sprayed with pesticides (yes i eat fruit stfu i am choosing my battles i will have a permaculture farm in the tropics one day), lectins in peanuts (peanut agglutinin) contributing to intestinal permeability (research on lectins is not clear cut but doesnt seem to be optimal). Plus, more omega 6s in a world where most people are already overconsuming them (yes the seed oil debate is nuanced but we know that a skewed ratio is not good!) it seems as how peanut butter oils (PUFAs) are so easily oxidized that some degree of racidity is a concern even though they might not all be rancid.And yes, I should bring up antinutrient like phytic acid, although I dont rthink this is the absolute worst aspect of peanut butter.

Problem 2:

Gluten… gluten sensitivity is far more common than celiac & can cause some issues. Wheat is also high in phytic acid and is completely unnecessary. Modern food is so nuterint depleted the main argument here is that its a waste of calories, its already so hard to get what u need why make it harder for yourself by eating bread. Bread also has lectins (wheat germ agglutinin), potentially inflammatory. This is a poverty food. We live in a world of choice, why choose bread? Also, you are making the choice for your helpless offspring. Why rob them of the vitality and healthy gut / blood sugar control that they could have if you sent them off with steak & fruit? Most of the nutrients people argue bread contains has been stripped out and refortified with folic acid (you need this, espeically women… but the folic acid form is harmful. What we really need is folate. methylfolate. ) bread is also full of emulsifiers & exorphins, which we can argue night and day about the weight of their harm… or we could just eat a steak and save us the cortisol ;p. Just take the similar option. You dont need to be an expert on grains and argue with people on the internet all day, but the fact that theres even an argument to begin with should illuminate that meat is just the simpler, safer option. Stop buying amino spiked garbage and just eat meat. If you love bread, you can make the argument that properly sourced grains and fermentation bypasses a lot of these issues. Sure, if you think the time bargain is fair then spend the years practicing and perfecting your sourdough. I love sourdough. But the fact is, thats a delicate art and it requires so much processing for it to be safe to eat. Instead, you could greatly simplify by just strangling a cow and tearing off the skin with your canines. U can eat it right off the cow and its safe… for the most part.

Problem #3!

Childrens livers are still growing, and their detoxification pathways are immature. They are more vulnerable to aflatoxin. You childs brain is developing. A out of wack omega 6:3 ratio this soon can be rather devastating. Their guts are developing. This early, consistent exposure to lectins could cause outsized problems (as compared to adult exposure) down the line. You child is growing. Micronutrients are important here, and hard enough to get, so an extra variable like phytic acid is unfavorable for physical development.

Problem 4;

Jelly is a sugar bomb. Sugar is great i dont fear sugar but the problem is we give them this sandwich and then make them sit in a desk for 8 hours with like 30 minutes of recess. This is NO GOOD! Jelly doesnt have much in terms of nutrients either. Get ur fiber w your fruit. Ive worked in early education. This rant comes from a place of experience and adamancy . why r u spiking your kids blood sugar for no reason and then when they crash its “adhd”. Ugh. can we just raise our kids with good microbiomes. They can eat pb&j when they are grown. But i assure you proper diet as a kid would disincitivize this, as there are no cravings nor a need for that sandwich.

I apologies for the spelling errors, grammatical mistakes and such… i wanted this to be raw and not proofread. Purely from the soul.
